Intern projects through the MOS were driven by creative ways of how to teach visitors about math and science subjects that would normally intimidate some visitors.

Inspiration was drawn from other museums and artists such as James Gandy, who uses a harmonograph to create his drawings.

Craft store items such as straws, pipe cleaners, and markers are essential components to draw bots. Users can customize each bot with these materials to create different patterns on the paper.

The motor is the only common common component because it sends vibrations throughout the bot, allowing it to move around the page and can be counter weighted to create various patterns.
