New York City’s first LGBTQ memorial located on the Hudson River was proposed by an artist named Anthony Goicolea.
I had the honor of working on this project through Ross Art Studio.
Ross specializes in glass fabrication for a variety of artists, primarily using the lost wax casting process.
For this specific project, we worked with Anthony and another fabricator that specializes in bronze to make his proposal a reality.
“Jacqueline has been instrumental in helping improve our software. First off, Jacqueline is extremely kind and easy to work with, both one on one and in a team. She consistently takes initiative and develops creative yet realistic solutions that serve our users and our business. Her work has directly had an impact and is 1) increasing our revenue, 2) helping our users save time and have greater success with our tool, and 3) helping us save time in the future by establishing branding guidelines. It has been a pleasure having her on our team!”
“Jacqueline did a marvelous job of communicating and being the point of contact for the UX team. She hosted over 66+ user interaction interviews with her team, transformed hand drawn wire frames into high fidelity interactive web designs in order to improve the user’s experience on our website's journey! She’s direct and very efficient with time management and scheduled meetings ahead of time as follow-ups on their team’s progress the entire time. I'm so impressed how she went out of her way to communicate with many vendors she knew, to help with the re-design of the Local Community Vendor's website! In addition, they created a clear pathway of users’ journey experience and re-designed the onboarding experience for both vendors and local customers in just under 2 weeks! As a coder, I appreciate the detail and energy she put into the startup! I will be contacting her and her team in the future once we gain funding after our launch next year! Thank you so much for your time and dedication!”
“I was lucky to work remotely alongside Jacqueline on a project in late 2022. Jacqueline is an outstandingly creative thinker, set further apart by her ability to bring team members into her thought processes. She is skilled at creating collaborative (and fun!) working environments, which allowed our design team to explore and critique ideas freely during all stages of the project.
We worked with an 8-hour time difference, but Jacqueline's excellent communication skills and willingness to be flexible meant that this in no way interrupted our working practices - which is no mean feat! Her commitment and work ethic also meant that she never shied away from any task - from conducting guerilla interviews in her neighbourhood to learning a complex animation technique on Figma - and allowed us to complete work that surpassed our client’s expectations. Jacqueline taught me a lot in our short time working together and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a passionate and genuine UX Designer. I only hope we can work together again in the future!”
“Jacqueline is one of the most creative people I got to work with. She has always inspired me and the team even from the start with dedication and initiative. She is the type of designer who will go out of her way to achieve her goals, even if that means hours or even days of self-teaching and learning. She utilizes resources and research data wisely to arrive at the best solutions. Her ability to think outside of the box allows her to throw inspiring and critical questions which helped our group tremendously with setting the directions of the project as well as making important decisions. Jacqueline is also an incredibly kind and understanding person to work with, not to mention her sense of humor. She empathizes and deeply considers different positions before proceeding to the next steps, which is why her work always contains great details. I have no doubt it will take less than a minute for anyone to notice the amazing strengths and potentials Jacqueline has as a UX designer.”
